The 8th ISoGH School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in Health Economics will be held in Bled, Slovenia in late 2026 (dates to be announced). The School will be organised in partnership with IEDC – Bled School of Management and Bled Institute for Leadership in Digital Transformation and AI (BILDAI). This school will train the attendees in novel methods and tools in data science and artificial intelligence that can be applied to research, practice and priority setting in health economics and international development. Speakers will include Professor Igor Rudan, Professor Thanasis Tsanas, Dr Syed Ahmar Shah and Dr Steven Kerr from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom.

The 7th ISoGH School of Community Engagement and Stakeholder Involvement will be held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, from October 1-4, 2026. Experts from Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Cote d’Ivoire and Cameroon, working within the EQUI-RESP-AFRICA project with the University of Edinburgh, will be sharing their experiences on community engagement, stakeholder involvement and work with the media to raise awareness of respiratory diseases in communities and among stakeholders.
The 6th ISoGH School of Epidemiology, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in Global Health was held in Edinburgh, UK from October 15-18, 2025. The School was organised in partnership with the Centre for Global Health at the University of Edinburgh and NIHR’s EQUI-RESP-AFRICA project to build capacity in applying priority-setting tools developed by researchers from the University of Edinburgh such as CHNRI, EQUIST, and PATHS, but also to learn about novel methods in epidemiology, data science and artificial intelligence that can be applied to research in global health and development.
The 5th ISoGH School of Investing in Global Health and Development was held in Edinburgh, UK from September 23-27, 2024. The School was organised in partnership with the Centre for Global Health at the University of Edinburgh to build capacity in applying priority-setting tools developed by researchers from the University of Edinburgh such as CHNRI, EQUIST, PATHS and PLANET.
The 4th ISoGH School of Introduction to Global Health Research was held in Edinburgh, UK from May 23-27, 2023. The School was a continuation of an induction course given in 2018 to the PhD students of the RESPIRE project on respiratory health in South-East Asia, organised in partnership with the Centre for Global Health at the University of Edinburgh, NIHR RESPIRE Global Health Unit, and the ISoGH.
The 3rd ISoGH’s School of Responsible Research in Global Health was held in Split, Croatia, from Aug 29th to Sep 2nd, 2022. The school, which was held in collaboration between the University of Split Medical School and the ISoGH was led by the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Global Health, the renowned Professor Ana Marusic. The topic of this year’s School was Responsible research.
The 2nd ISoGH School of Building Capacity in Scientific Publishing was held online in Edinburgh, UK from September 20-24, 2021. The School was organised in partnership with the Centre for Global Health at the University of Edinburgh and the Journal of Global Health to build capacity in scientific publishing in low- and middle-income countries, using the JoGH Reports and JOGH Economics and Policy as the example journals.
The 1st ISoGH School of Global Health Economics, Leadership and Priority Setting took place in Edinburgh, UK from September 23-27, 2019. The Summer school was organised in partnership with The World Bank and the Centre for Global Health Research at the University of Edinburgh to build capacity in applying priority-setting tools developed by researchers from the University of Edinburgh such as CHNRI, EQUIST, PATHS and PLANET.
