The International Society of Global Health (ISoGH) is a UK-registered not-for-profit organisation dedicated to advancing global health research, education, policy, and knowledge exchange. ISoGH publishes and supports a growing portfolio of peer-reviewed scholarly journals, including the Journal of Global Health (JoGH), Journal of Global Health Reports (JoGHR), Journal of Global Health Economics and Policy (JoGHEP), and Journal of Global Health Neurology and Psychiatry (JoGHNP).
ISoGH is committed to maintaining the highest standards of editorial quality, research integrity, transparency, scientific independence, and ethical publishing. Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific merit, originality, methodological rigour, relevance to journal scope, and contribution to knowledge, without influence from commercial, political, institutional, or personal interests.
Each ISoGH journal operates under the leadership of its Editors-in-Chief and Editorial Board, who are appointed based on their academic expertise, publication record, editorial experience, professional standing, and commitment to advancing high-quality scholarship. Editorial appointments also seek to ensure disciplinary breadth, methodological expertise, international representation, and geographic diversity.
Editors retain full responsibility for editorial decisions and operate independently of the publisher, sponsoring organisations, advertisers, funders, or other external parties. Editorial decisions are not influenced by article processing charges, society membership, institutional affiliations, commercial interests, or any other financial considerations.
ISoGH journals operate rigorous peer-review processes appropriate to their respective disciplines and article types. Original research and review articles are normally assessed by independent external reviewers with relevant subject expertise. Additional methodological, statistical, or specialist review may be sought where appropriate. Editors, reviewers, and authors are expected to uphold confidentiality, objectivity, fairness, and professional conduct throughout the peer-review process.
ISoGH supports the principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and other recognised organisations promoting responsible research and publication practices.
Authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose relevant conflicts of interest. Research involving human participants must comply with recognised ethical standards, including appropriate ethics approval, protection of participant privacy, and informed consent where applicable. Research involving animals must comply with relevant institutional, national, and international regulations and accepted reporting guidelines.
ISoGH journals actively investigate allegations of plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, unethical research conduct, citation manipulation, authorship disputes, and other forms of research or publication misconduct. Allegations are managed in accordance with established ethical guidance and recognised best practices.
ISoGH is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. Corrections, retractions, editorial expressions of concern, and other post-publication notices may be issued where necessary to address errors, misconduct, unreliable findings, ethical concerns, or other matters affecting the accuracy and reliability of published content. Decisions regarding such actions are made in accordance with established editorial procedures and recognised international guidance.
ISoGH supports open access dissemination of research and encourages transparency, reproducibility, and responsible data sharing. Authors are encouraged to make research data available through recognised repositories or upon reasonable request, subject to ethical, legal, confidentiality, privacy, intellectual property, or other legitimate restrictions. Individual journals may require data availability statements and provide additional guidance on data sharing and preservation.
ISoGH journals do not permit advertising or commercial activities to influence editorial decision-making. Any advertising, sponsorship, or promotional activities are clearly separated from editorial content and do not affect the peer-review process, editorial assessment, or publication decisions.
Unless otherwise specified, articles published by ISoGH journals are made available under open-access licences that permit broad dissemination and reuse while ensuring appropriate attribution to the original authors.
