The International Society of Global Health invites you to the 3rd ISoGH’s Conference on Global Health. This year’s conference will feature presentations from the leading global health experts on the topics of pandemic preparedness, research priority setting, global health metrics, improved equity and social justice, health economics and policy, and knowledge exchange and dissemination.


3rd ISoGH’s Conference on Global Health – Final Programme

Day 1: Setting research priorities in global health and pandemic preparedness

The first day of the conference will review methods and tools for setting priorities in global health research. The results of recent exercises conducted by ISoGH on setting research priorities to address the burden of COVID-19 and improve pandemic preparedness in low- and middle-income countries will be presented. A tutorial for the new, online-based CHNRI method will be provided to the participants.

Day 2: Global health metrics, improved equity and social justice

The second day of the conference will present the work of the Global Health Epidemiology Research Group (GHERG) in assessing the burden of diseases with a large burden in low- and middle-income countries that remain largely neglected. It will also present the tools such as EQUIST and PATHS, that could improve equity and social justice in funding allocation.

Day 3: Knowledge exchange and dissemination in global health

The third day of the conference will discuss the optimal strategies for communicating and sharing global health knowledge and information in the era of “post-truth”. The speakers will revisit the current system of scientific publishing and explore the options that social networks provide for disseminating global health information.    Speakers and discussants:

The participation fee for ISoGH’s members is:

  • US$ 500 for in-person attendance
  • US$ 100 for online attendance

For non-members, the rates are*:

  • US$ 800 for in-person attendance
  • US$ 200 for online attendance

*ISoGH membership can be obtained from US$ 50, so we recommend to prospective attendees to consider registering for the membership to reduce the cost of participation fee.
